FOLK - Cotton jacquard bedspread
200 thread count long staple Egyptian cotton percale.
"Sabra" embroidery thread (polyester thread).
Washing
- Do the first wash with an anti-fading or anti-transfer wipe, to properly fix the color of the embroidery (especially for bright or very dark embroidery).
- Wash your laundry with your usual detergent, nothing aggressive. Avoid fabric softener which increases the yellowing of whites.
- Prefer washing at 40°C to preserve the intensity of the embroidery colours. Washing at 60° is possible occasionally
- In your washing machine, separate your laundry from anything that could damage the embroidery: zips, hooks, etc.
The tasks
- You can use a stain remover spray.
- In case of stubborn stains: using a cotton pad, you can gently remove stains from your WHITE linen table linen only; rinse the bleach immediately after application!
- If your white percale sheets turn yellow, a whitening product can give them a second life.
Drying
- Drying on a clothes horse is preferable, but tumble drying at a moderate temperature is possible. Always choose a program where your laundry will remain slightly damp, to make ironing easier.
Ironing
- When removing from the dryer, pull your laundry well, especially the embroidery, this will make ironing easier.
- Iron at the temperature that corresponds to the composition of your laundry: cotton or linen. Not too hot!
